Beaches

The Costa Blanca ("The White Coast") is stretching north via Benidorm to Denia along Spain's sunny south-eastern coastline.

	The beaches in Torrevieja include Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura and Playa Naufragos, all within 5-10 min walk from the apartment.
	If you go a few minutes north of Torrevieja, you will find the excellent beaches of La Mata, (which is also called Torrelamata) and Guardamar, both also win the Blue Flag awards every year for their cleanliness, safety and facilities.

Near Torrevieja there is a wonderful nature reserve containing two clear, shimmering salt lakes and access to six of the finest beaches in the area. As a protected area, plant and bird life are allowed to flourish and the sand is rarely littered.

Along the coast there are some stunning cliffs, forming sheltered coves where you can find your own serene retreat to lay back in the sun and relax.
