There are five golf courses within 17 km of Torrevieja. The Villa Martin Golf Club is the oldest and the most famous and the host for the 1994 Med Open - attracting such high profile names as Seve Ballesteros, Ernie Els and Jose Maria Olazabal. It is situated 11 km from the town centre in a luxury tourist complex besides the beaches of la Zenia. 18 hole par 72, 6130m Professional/Men/Ladies tees. The Campoamor Royal Golf Club, just 14 km from Torrevieja, has a highly adaptable course with long, wide fairways with difficulty provided by the greens and some sloping approaches.

This well maintained course absolutely must be experienced, as golfers play next to epic views of the Mediterranean. 18 hole par 71, course 5830m professional/men/ladies tees. 

The Ramblas de Orihuela Golf Club is even closer to town, lying just 10 km from the centre. Situated between two ravines on the shore of the Mediterranean - with fairways surrounded by water and picturesque scenery - this course is a feast for the eyes and a test for the skills. This course has an abundance of pine trees, ravines, plateaux interconnected with a natural rolling landscape. This is a course with "attitude". 18 hole par 72, 5770m course Professional/Men/Ladies tees.

Quite the opposite of La Marquesa Golf and Country Club, also 10 km from Torrevieja. Probably the least demanding of the courses, it proves to be the perfect one to get the "rust out of the system". The 19th hole is very well situated and serviced by a restaurant and bar and close to the putting green and driving range. Requiring the full set of clubs, it is, nonetheless, a flat and comfortable course to play. 18 hole par 72, course 6030m.

Finally, La Finca Golf Course, just 17 km away in Algofa, and which opened in 2002, combines nature and sport to the delight of golf lovers.
