Markets and Shops
Torrevieja boasts one of the largest open air
street markets in Spain. It is set up in the
vicinity of the bus station every Friday, and people
come from miles around to pick up a bargain or to
buy fruit and vegetables fresh from the farm. Several hundred stalls sell clothing, leather
goods, shoes, handicrafts, ceramics, paintings,
herbs, fruits and vegetables and freshly cooked food
to take away.
The indoor market is open daily for fish, fruit,
vegetables and fresh meat and is situated in the
centre of town.

Each evening, close to the harbour, you will find the
craft market where you can buy hand made jewellery
or maybe some carved art from Africa or even some
leather goods at a fraction of the price at home. |

The town has all kinds of commercial
establishments, ranging from large hypermarkets and
modern shopping centre Habaneras to
small shops and boutiques. |
